Mug Shot

Club member Timm Missbach shared his clay pottery hobby with everyone at our regular meeting on Monday, June 29th. With the guidance of Sarah and Keith Carter of Studio 1242 in Green Bay, club members let their creative juices flow, crafting artistic mugs of the finest quality.

In case you can't read Alice's sign, it congratulates new Mom and current Club President Caitlin Krause on the birth of baby Franklin who arrived while the mug that Mom had made was being painted and fired into final form.

Club members: Alice Kolb, Ted Pagels, Patrick Nehring,

iPads for Autism

Monday March 9, 2026 - Our club welcomed Christina Basina and her family for dinner and to award her son Gabriel an iPad to help with his learning. Our iPads for Autism program has provided iPads, protective cases and specialized software to over 50 deserving students since it began in 2013.

Helping Others Make a Difference

The De Pere Kiwanis embraces other organizations that serve the community, hearing from them at our weekly dinner meetings. Some recent programs and sponsorships are noted below.

We proudly support Veterans 1st of NEW who shared the plans for their tiny homes project which will offer shelter and support services for homeless area veterans. We look forward to a tour later this fall.

Thanks to the De Pere Kiwanis, kids and their families enjoyed a hot dog dinner for $1.00 at the De Pere Park District Carnival in the Park at Optimist Park on August 5th. It was another sellout event.

Members of the De Pere Kiwanis and our sponsored youth De Pere High School Key Club donate their time each month to assist the De Pere Christian Outreach sort incoming donations.

We recently donated to the "Give a Kid a Book" program of The Friends of Brown County Library to provide books to young readers.

We heard an update on early childhood learning and reading readiness from Achieve Brown County which uses a data driven model to measure improvements in learning outcomes throughout the area.

Club members attended the June 2nd Sunrise Through the Darkness event to support veterans and first responders.
